Experience... The Taste

Monaco’s most luxurious hotels are also home to some of the finest restaurants where supremely talented chefs create new tastes and are literally showered with stars. At the Hôtel de Paris, Alain Ducasse, a Monegasque citizen born in Gascony, is certainly the most famous chef in the world and his restaurant, the Louis XV, is the most prestigious. Joël Robuchon now has two Michelin stars for his restaurant at the Métropole, where he is constantly refining his cuisine to reveal the sources of taste. There are more delicious flavours to be discovered in Monaco’s markets, which sell all the most natural, typical ingredients for Mediterranean cuisine, and in the local delicatessens with their wide range of gastronomic products from all over the world. Or sit at an outdoor restaurant terrace in Fontvieille, at the foot of the Rocher, to enjoy typical Monegasque dishes like Stockfish, Barbagiuan or sea bass à la Monégasque.

Philippe Clérissi

Président du CC de Fontvieille
"Fontvieille is an idyllic neighbourhood just below the Rocher, with a superb view up to the Palace. It’s an ideal place on Sundays for strolling around the Port and enjoying this luxurious neighbourhood all built on reclaimed land. Visitors can make the most of their walk to do some shopping in the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere of the Fontvieille shopping mall."
